We are currently looking to recruit the following positions:
Manufacturing Engineer
About the Role
We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our Production Engineering Department. The role is a permanent position, based at Reliance Precision Limited Bandon, County Cork.
Reporting to the Production Engineering Manager the successful candidate will be responsible for providing daily support of products, processes, materials, and equipment to achieve stable processes with demanding tolerances and implement manufacturing business improvement projects and processes.
Responsibilities
- Develop and detail manufacturing processes, including visualization onto route cards
- Design and implement manufacturing and test processes (including programming, tooling, inspection, and equipment)
- Analyse, develop, and audit current processes to drive improvements
- Investigate and analyse non-conformances to ensure timely and effective corrective actions
- Ensure full use of technologies and automation to support manufacturing processes
- Provide technical training to production personnel
- Continuously seek to improve processes, layout, and operational performance
- Adhere to Production Engineering procedures and documentation
- Ensure products are manufactured efficiently and meet customer specifications
- Read engineering drawings and use 3D design software (SolidWorks preferred)
- Create methods to support customer enquiries and estimating
- Conduct risk assessments of new processes as part of project delivery (PFMEA)
- Drive improvement activities using DMAiC and Lean problem-solving techniques
Skills and Qualifications
Essential:
- Successful completion of a Level 8 Engineering degree
- Experience of 3D Cad packages (eg Solid-Works)
- Production Engineering of CNC Precision part manufacturing using best in class processes
- A good understanding of engineering drawings and schematics
Desirable:
- Knowledge or experience of working in a regulated industry
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment
- CNC experience
- Knowledgeable with clear understanding of engineering and modern manufacturing concepts
- Continuous Improvement knowledge
- Knowledge of 5S
- Knowledge of CMM/ Metrology
- Knowledge of certification standards such as AS9100, ISO13485, ISO45001, ISO14001
Desirable Personal Skills
- This role will suit a newly graduated engineer
- Self-starter with demonstrated efficient work methods, analytical & problem-solving skills, and ability to handle multiple tasks
- The individual should enjoy working in a fast paced, dynamic and results orientated team environment
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively work cross-functionally and with global teams
Hours of Work
Permanent Contract
Full time Position
40 hours per week
07:30-16:45 Monday – Thursday
07:30-12:30 Friday
